![]() Reena Shah is an accomplished actress, professional classical Indian dancer (Bharata Natyam), choreographer, voice-over artist, & artist. FILM: American Chai, Inside Man, Stay Until Tomorrow, and more. TELEVISION: Bollywood skit with Conan on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” THEATER: Suzan-Lori Parks’ 365 Days/365 Plays (The Public Theater/Desipina), Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues (Arthur Seelen), Nandita Shenoy’s Marrying Nandini, Directed by Elizabeth Levy(Green Light), and more. NARRATION: Tami Yeager’s PBS ‘Independent Lens’ Documentary, A Dream In Doubt. DANCE & CHOREOGRAPHY: Universal Pictures’ The Guru, Sita Sings the Blues, Agora II, & Chashama’s 2007 Oasis Fesival (solo work). This year she can be seen in Ajay Naidu’s Ashes, The Golden Door & is the speaking voice of Sita in Guggenheim Fellowship Recipient, Nina Paley’s Award Winning Animation Feature, Sita Sings the Blues. Reena performs with her husband, musician/composer/singer Todd Michaelsen, in their band MY PET DRAGON, dancing, singing & providing percussion using her Traditional Indian Ghungroo Anklet Bells.
